Ron Harris Studio - Porn Site Review

Hugh Hefner called photographer Ron Harris "the king of erotica" and Playboy called him "the granddaddy of soft core" Who am I to argue? When first logging on to Harris Archives, one can't help but be amazed at the quality of the content and the beauty of the girls featured, but as far as pornography goes, I found the site left something to be desired.

Yes, the girls are all young, hot and nubile, and they all get a chance to finger themselves or play with a dildo or vibrator, but that's the extent of it. Their makeup is perfect, as are their bodies; and the photography and styling is top-notch. So what's not to like? It's all just too pretty to qualify as porn; as Hef said... its erotica.

There is also a bit of a tease factor at work which I really didn??? like. When a photo set thumbnail pictures a girl holding a dildo, I want to see the girl use the dildo; not just pose with it in her hand. None of the girls seem shy about performing simulated sex; it just seems that Harris isn't that interested in shooting it. Also, many of the video clips use too much time watching the models dress for the shoot, which some may find a turn-on but I prefer my porno to be more pornographic. To the site's credit, the downloads -even at the highest resolution - are wicked fast.

Your inner pervert might get some relief in the 'Girl + Girl' section which includes some mutual pussy licking and (gentle) strap-on play. This is where the high quality of the video really pays off; allowing viewers to watch the action close-up and personal. In general the videos for this section are three times as long as the solo shoot clips however, at the time of this review, there were only six entries in the section.

It says on the website that Mr. Harris has produced over a dozen programs for Playboy TV, and it makes perfect sense. Except for the lack of surgically enhanced boobs, any of these girls could pose for the venerable magazine; and to say this site is just another Playboy knockoff wouldn't be fair... I don't recall seeing 'pink' in Playboy... it's more of a Penthouse thing.
