Every Friday morning people open up their newspapers and run to the entertainment section. They want to find out what did critics said about the latest movie that came out and see whether or not they should go and see the flick. Sometimes the critics are dead on with their praise. Sometimes the critics got dragged to a beautiful location and they all of a sudden forget the part of the movie that completely sucked.
The best movie reviews don't come out on Friday. They come out Saturday and Sunday. Those are the reviews of your friends. You know, people like you that have plucked down their hard earned cash and either they got their moneys worth or they didn't. That unvarnished opinion usually is the one a that is right on track with what you'll think of the movie. (Which is why word of mouth is more important than marketing strategies).
Planet Climax has done a wonderful job creating an environment where the people who use the sites also comment and let you know about the site. It is invaluable to see the comments of some poor schlub or schlubbette who put down their dough to get a site and give you a quick thumbs up or a thumbs down. Those home grown comments tend to add a bit of credibility to the reviews on the site.
The emphasis on the user comments isn't meant to take away from the quality of the official reviews. The reviewers on Planet Climax do a really good job of giving you the low down of what's going on at a particular site. They typically give several paragraphs of what the experience is like in the pay section of the site.
Another great section of this site are the preview galleries. Most of the sites that have been reviewed on the site also have galleries of thumbnails and photos for you to peruse through. There is no better judge of content than your very own eyes. When you have a chance to see, for instance, the kick ass photo quality of the shots on Hegre Art o the big glistening asses on 40oz asses, you know what you're getting into.
Overall this is a great review site. The Planet climax has done a great job of getting folks involved and commenting on their sites and their reviews. This adds a bit of authenticity to the work.
